What Happens to Tissue or Blood Samples you Donate as Part of Research?
About the Study
Help shape the future of research. Share your views on a new method to track research specimens, like tissue or blood, you or your loved ones may have donated for science. We want to learn whether you want to find out what happens to biosamples you donate for research, what you would want to know, how you make decisions about sample donation, your values regarding commercialization of patient samples, your interest in software apps or websites that could allow patients to track samples and receive personalized research feedback, and how these types of technologies might impact research participation and trust.
What the Study Involves
This 10-minute survey seeks to understand your priorities and preferences about research involving your biosamples, like blood, tumor/tissue, or other samples from biopsies, surgeries and clinical procedures.
We will ask about your health and personal background to help us understand your perspective. This survey is voluntary. Your responses will not affect your medical care or ongoing research that may use your samples. You can participate whether or not you have donated biosamples or participated in other clinical or basic science research. We do not need your medical records to participate.
You will receive $10 e-gift card for completing the survey.
