Welcome, Bright Pink community! We’re so happy you’re here. Since Bright Pink’s founding in 2007, we have worked together as allies in the fight to save lives from hereditary cancers. Most recently, as a Bright Pink Mission Partner, we worked together to recruit and train advocates to help change state laws and improve access to life-saving preventive care.
FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered) is the preeminent voice for the hereditary cancer community, serving millions of high-risk individuals nationwide. As an advocate, leader, and subject-matter expert, FORCE strives to ensure that individuals and families facing hereditary cancer are represented, bettering the landscape by working to guarantee that every person with or at risk of hereditary cancer can access the recommended genetic counseling, testing, screening, and preventive services they need, regardless of income or insurance status.
Together, we’ve curated resources specifically for young women at high-risk for breast and ovarian cancer, or previvors. This page is an entry point to the information, support, and sense of community FORCE offers. Whether you’re seeking expert-reviewed medical guidance, support groups, one-on-one assistance, research, or advocacy opportunities, we’re here to help you navigate your journey with confidence. Welcome to FORCE—you’re not alone.

Assess Your Risk is a tool created by Bright Pink and acquired by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2021.
The tool was relaunched in October 2023 by Dana-Farber, who are continuing Bright Pink’s legacy by educating young women on their breast and ovarian health, providing them with life-saving, individualized risk assessment, and empowering them to be proactive.
With a short, 5-10 minute quiz, Assess Your Risk allows women to understand their personalized breast and ovarian cancer risk based on family health history, lifestyle factors, and genetics, and provides advice on early detection and prevention strategies.
Take the Quiz - it could save your life!
In addition to acquiring Bright Pink’s Assess Your Risk Tool, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute also took on Bright Pink’s Provider Education, Brighten Up Educational Workshops, ExploreYourGenetics.org, Breast Health Reminders, and all other historical programs. Since integrating these resources, Dana-Farber has been diligently working to incorporate Bright Pink’s suite of programs and tools into their own offerings.
You can now find these resources - and more - on the Assess Your Risk Resources page of the Dana-Farber website. The site is a great starting point to learn more about breast and ovarian cancer, find strategies to reduce your risk, and locate preventive care providers near you.
