Session: What's new for young previvors

Speaker: Mark Robson, MD

This 90-minute concurrent session will provide information specifically for previvors and high-risk
women who are age 30 or younger. Dr. Robson will discuss:

• standard-of-care risk-management options for previvors
• risks vs. benefits of mammography and other risk-management options for young, high-risk women
• benefits, limitations of surgery vs. surveillance
• age-specific risks for breast and ovarian cancer
• other topics unique to previvors age 30 and younger
  

This session is appropriate for:

• women who carry a BRCA mutation
• women with hereditary breast cancer in their family
• relatives/loved ones/caretakers for young women with breast cancer
• patient advocates, support group facilitators, and people who work with high-risk women
• health care providers who treat high-risk women
• social workers/mental health care professionals who treat high-risk women
