Session: Nonsurgical approaches to breast cancer risk management

Speakers: Margaret Szabunio, MD, Victoria Seewaldt, MD

This 90-minute concurrent session will focus on nonsurgical approaches to breast cancer risk management.
Drs. Seewaldt and Szabunio will present:

• nonsurgical options currently available for managing breast cancer risk in high-risk women
• standard-of-care and emerging technology for breast cancer surveillance
• importance of breast self exam for high-risk women and proper BSE technique

This session is appropriate for:

• women who carry a BRCA mutation or who are high risk for breast cancer
• breast cancer survivors concerned about risk in their remaining breast tissue
• spouses, partners, loved ones of cancer survivors or previvors
• health care providers who provide care to survivors and previvors
• social workers/mental health care professionals who treat survivors and previvors
