Session: Dear Talula documentary and discussion

Fourteen months after giving birth to her daughter, Talula, aspiring filmmaker
Lori Benson received life-altering news when her doctor called to tell her she had
breast cancer. Within days of her diagnosis, Lori's friends began video-taping her.
The resulting film, DEAR TALULA, is an intimate portrait of a woman who met the
challenges of her breast cancer diagnosis with captivating courage and candor.

This 90-minute concurrent session presents the documentary Dear Talula followed
by a panel discussion with the producer and with a genetic counselor. The film and
discussion will detail the challenges faced by women with breast cancer .

This session is appropriate for:

• people with a BRCA mutation or hereditary cancer in the family
• breast cancer survivors
• parents/relatives/loved ones of breast cancer survivors and people
  who carry a BRCA mutation or hereditary cancer in the family
• health care providers who provide care to people with hereditary cancer
• social workers/mental health care professionals who treat people with hereditary
